Regional conference of honorary consuls of Lithuania in Central Asia
A regional conference of honorary consuls of Lithuania in Central Asia is being held today at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Lithuanian honorary consuls from all regions of Kazakhstan (Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Karaganda, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Taraz, Aktau, Aktobe. Pavlodar, Uralsk, Atyrau, Kostanay, Petropavlovsk) are participating at the conference as well as Honorary consuls from neighboring states - from Tashkent and Bishkek – arrived to attend the conference. The participants of the conference were welcomed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania Gintautas Vasiulis. The Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Azerbaijan Egidijus Navikas and the Consul General of the Republic of Lithuania in Almaty Gvidas Kerušauskas are also participating in the conference. Honorary consuls of Lithuania and representatives of "Team Lithuania" will discuss the development of relations between Lithuania and the Central Asian region, the dynamics of political and economic relations, Lithuanian business interests in the region, will share the "good" practice of the activities of honorary consuls, and will also discuss aspects of cultural projects and issues of consular assistance for citizens of Lithuania.
